The inaugural SNS Achievements in Technology Awards were, by all accounts,  a hit with everyone, with a high-class venue, fantastic food, cutting comedy and proud award winners.  Almost 200 people filled the Grand Ballroom at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower after enjoying their DBTK Fizz and Mimosa cocktails courtesy of Double-Take Software and Mimosa Systems. The buzz was enlivened further by our comedy turn for the evening Steve Gribbin, whose mixture of sharp one-liners and cutting song lyrics kept everyone entertained.

Our awards host Nick Higham of BBC News soon had the room to order for the quick-fire awards presentations in eleven categories – eight end-user project awards, two channel awards and the SNS Industry award.  Only two winners were not able to be with us and the remaining recipients celebrated their wins in front of their peers, customers and partners, and left the stage with the their crystal glass trophies proudly held high.  In each of the end-user project categories, awards were presented for both the user themselves and the supplier. All the entry fees paid for participation in the awards  have been donated to the B+TLC - Barts and the London Charity- and a donation for £2,700 has been made this week.
